  Duration: This is a three-day intensive course. Two sessions are offered:

  • • July 16th, 17th, 18th

    • July  30th, 31st + August 1st

  • Sessions will run from 10 am to 12 pm daily.

Content: The course will cover key areas of the Junior Certificate Music curriculum, which are stepping stones towards success in the Leaving Certificate course.

• • Musical Elements: Notation, rhythm, melody, harmony, texture, timbre, and form.
  • Aural Skills: Development of aural perception through exercises in dictation and music analysis.
  • Composition: Introduction to basic compositional techniques.
  • Western Music History: Understanding key periods and composers.
  • Irish Traditional Music: Introduction to the unique features of Irish music.

• Delivery: Interactive sessions that blend theoretical knowledge with practical exercises.
