Dublin School of Music has been teaching south Dublin to play since 2003, and our Stillorgan school at 20 Kilmacud Road Lower brings that experience to your doorstep. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time, you’re preparing for grade exams, or you’re an adult returning to music after years away, our teachers build every lesson around the student in front of them — their goals, their pace, their taste in music.
Every lesson is one-to-one with a qualified, performance-experienced teacher — complete beginners through to advanced players, graded exams and Leaving Cert to playing purely for the joy of it.
Lessons run in courses of ten consecutive weekly one-to-one lessons. A €30 booking deposit secures your place and is deducted from your first month’s tuition.

We teach children from primary-school age, teenagers and adults. Many of our students are complete beginners, and a good number are adults returning to an instrument after years away. If you’re unsure whether your child is ready, ask us — a taster course is a low-pressure way to find out.
Piano, singing, guitar (acoustic, classical, electric and bass), violin, drums, flute, clarinet, saxophone, ukulele, recorder and tin whistle, along with Leaving Certificate music tuition. All lessons are one-to-one.
A course of ten weekly one-to-one lessons is €300, or €27.50 per lesson on our automated payment plan. A three-lesson taster course is €99, credited towards your course fees if you continue. A €30 booking deposit secures your place and comes off your first month’s tuition.
Yes. Our teachers prepare students for graded exams with the RIAM, ABRSM, Trinity College London and Sounds Great, as well as for the Leaving Certificate music syllabus — and just as happily teach students who have no interest in exams and simply want to play.

Almost certainly. Stillorgan is our south-east Dublin school, and students travel to us from Dundrum, Blackrock, Mount Merrion, Kilmacud, Goatstown, Sandyford, Foxrock and Deansgrange. Our other schools are in Terenure and Tallaght if either is closer to you.
